Arsenal latest news from transfer market

Martin Zubimendi has signed all documents to join Arsenal, with only the medical pending, scheduled to take place after his time with the Spanish national team.

While the deal is effectively done, Real Sociedad have requested for it to be completed in July.

The reason is financial: with La Real's accounts set to roll into the new financial year next month, the profit from Zubimendi's sale will be booked under the 2025/26 period, giving them more flexibility to spend.

An announcement is expected at the end of June or early July.

According to Ryan Taylor, since March, Andrea Berta has been working tirelessly to extend his record with six players considered to be Arsenal's key players.

Bukayo Saka and William Saliba, the duo with only two years left in HD, have also had positive exchanges and want to stay at the club. Young talent duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are in negotiations and are expected to get a significant increase in pay and bonuses.

Gunners are confident that they will reach contract extension with above mentioned players. ✅

The remaining negotiations include Thomas Partey and Leandro Trossard. Arsenal sent Partey a fairly competitive extension offer 10 days ago and so far, things are yet to be unified.

Partey still prioritizes staying at Arsenal and settling in London. However, he is aware that the upcoming HD may be the last important settlement and his team wants to see Partey's importance expressed in the proposed terms.

Meanwhile, Leandro Trossard also received an offer from Al-Ittihad in September last year and he is still receiving interest from clubs in the Middle East. However Trossard's priority will remain to stay at Arsenal!

So far, it is not yet confirmed whether Thomas Partey will continue playing for the Gunners next season. Hopefully everything will turn out as expected! 🤝
